  • Took up the unseasonably warm weather on its offer to leave work 30 minutes early and hit up a patio. Grabbed some of the last remaining seats on the Burger Bar patio to enjoy a bevvie before making the long trek out to Parkdale for dinner. I needed some reinforcement to make it there you see. Yes. Bixi, can you help a girl out? The menu had only beer and tequila shots. It seems they offer other beverages, but they are a secret? Anyway, we asked for a non-beer beverage and were offered caesars, margarita and bar rail. The Caesars were fantastic. Nice and spicy and cold. The margarita on the rocks was good. A little overly sweet, I wouldn't want to drink more than one, but very refreshing. $7 for the margarita. The service... not so good. I sat for at least 20 minutes before catching the eye of someone to order a drink. Then they took at least 20 more to arrive. This was seriously cutting into pre-dinner drinking time. When we asked for the bill it arrived with food on it. (Food? We didn't order any food. This is drinking time!) I had to take it to the bar, and then wait another 10 minutes to get the adjusted bill. Yuck.
