Came to Wet Republic during a stay at the MGM Grand Hotel with my girlfriends. We checked this pool club out our first day and I regret doing that completely! The atmosphere is fun and typical of any other day pool club in vegas- however these people have NO clue how to care for their pool. My bathing suit was completely bleached as a direct result of improper care of the pool facilities (I know this because that was the only pool visited that day). I had no choice except to periodically be in the pool due to the extreme heat, and I didn't notice a real change in color of the swimsuit until we were leaving (we stayed for about 2.5hours). I waited until the end of our stay to address the issue because I didn't want the ruined bathing suit to ruin my trip, and I assumed the issue would be dealt with in a professional manner- however that was NOT the case.
During check out I was advised that W.R is a separate entity from MGM, and a phone was given to me for the general Manager, which apparently was the wrong number. I decided to stop by the pool club before I left to chat with the manager and got no where, he basically said that it was not their responsibility, but could offer me a free cabana (NO thanks). When I got home I proceeded to type out an email to send to W.R. parent company about the incident... after "investigating" my claim I was told that there was no evidence of any chemical imbalances during my stay so they could not offer me any compensation.
BOTTOM LINE- I will never be going there due to their improper care of the pool facilities- if it bleached my bathing suit imagine what it does to everyones skin!
