| - Pretty good dim sum spot, except you can rack up a pretty hefty bill!
So there's mostly only a couple of spots to get dim sum in Phoenix that I consider note-worthy: Great Wall (too far for me), Mekong, and Phoenix Palace.
I usually go to Mekong but I decided a change of scenery was good because my parents usually like going to Phoenix palace!
First things first, the service is way better here than at Mekong. Mostly because the square footage that the cart pushers have to cover is a lot less! I also enjoyed the difference menu options that I'm usually not used to seeing at Mekong!
Everything was hot, and most of the food was good, some of it was hit or miss though. Like for instance the har gao (shrimp rice ball) was super tiny, compared to other places that have it. However the shu mai (pork meat dumpling) was huge compared to the other places! To lo mai kai (sticky rice) was actually kinda dry, which was odd!
However the service definitely makes up for just some of the foods that didn't taste as good as I get from other places! I will say though that the prices of some dishes are a lot more pricey than it's competitors like Mekong, which I believe is a flat rate for most of the normal dishes.
All in all, I'm kinda torn between whether I'd come here or not. Overall it was a great experience, but I also spent $116 treating out my family, which usually id end up with a $80 at Mekong. Try both, and see which one you like!
