| - Dark, sexy, and intimate. Delicious Italian fare with excellent service and a view.
I've dined here multiple times and Scarpetta never seems to disappoint. My dining experiences have ranged from a two-seated table with the view of the Bellagio fountains to the private chef's table with the view of the kitchen. I've had the typical a la carte menu to the seven-course tasting menu. If I had to choose my favorite experience between them all, my personal preference is the two-seated table with the a la carte menu.
The service here is very prompt and attentive. From the Managers to the wait staff, service is priority here. Shout out to Kelly, the General Manager, as she personally knows how to take care of her customers.
To start off the meal, you are presented with a one of my most favorite bread baskets ever. The three accompanying spreads are vey unique and delicious. Their stromboli bread is sinfully good.
My personal favorite dishes:
- Roasted Sea Scallops: Simple and well executed. My only complaint is the size of the portion.
- Spaghetti: Simple, clean, and classic. FYI, the pasta is al dente.
- Risotto: Slightly al dente, yet creamy at the same time.
- Tagliatelle: Comforting dish that is full of flavor. My personal favorite.
- Fennel Spiced Black Cod: Flaky yet bold in taste.
If you are looking for a restaurant with a sexy ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service, come to Scarpetta. It's my personal "go to" spot for dinner dates.
