  • HOOVER DAM FULL DAY TOUR Awesome Tour! We had such a great time! We did the Groupon for the full day tour of the Hoover Dam. I will give a timeline at the end. Jason, our tour guide, was incredible! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us valuable tourist info besides things related to the Hoover Dam. He even offered us his Facebook info to message him if we had any questions about Vegas while we were there. Have you EVER had a tour guide offer that for you? So awesome! The info from a local is beyond valuable! Our bus ride up seemed very quick with Jason telling jokes and giving us info along the way. When we arrived at the dam, the views were spectacular. After getting off the bus, they (Comedy on deck) offered us bottle water to stay cool and hydrated at no charge. We then went into the dam tourist area and saw a video and a slide show. Unfortunately the elevators into the dam were broken so we could not take the tour down there. I was pretty sad about that. Instead, they offered a slide show. I dont think the slide show made up for it; however this was the decision of the Hoover Dam, not comedy on deck. After the movie and slide show, we went up onto the dam for some amazing photots and views! It was all breath-taking! Jason continued to give us info and facts about the dam. Next, we took the bus to the new overpass bridge. You had the option of going up to it. It was about 60 stairs. It was not bad at all. I recently had a lung transplant and I could manage the stairs, so I bet you could too! Once to the top, it was awesome and scary! I have a little fear of heights, so I did not go too far onto the bridge, but if heights dont scare you, you can go all the way! Once again- the views were amazing. After the stop at the bridge we got back on the bus and drove thru boulder city which was nice and informative. We next stopped at the Omelet House for lunch. Dont be deceived by the name, it was great for lunch! It is a standard American Cafe/Restaurant. The food was very good. I ate the Hot Turkey and my wife had the Enchiladas. We both enjoyed them very much! After lunch, it was back on the bus to head back! 8:15AM - Get on Bus at Monte Carlo (varies depending on what hotel you are at) 8:45AM - On Road after a few more hotel pick-ups 9:30AM - Arrive at Dam and Movie 10-12PM - Explore Dam 12-12:30PM - Stop At Bridge 12:30-1pm - More Bus Tour 1-2PM- LUNCH 2:45M - Drop Off If you do the Hoover Dam, you must do Comedy On Deck!
