| - We went for brunch on Saturday as a group of eight (plus my Corgi), and I was delighted with my entire experience. They don't take reservations, and when we got there we were told the wait would be an hour. For a Saturday morning I wasn't surprised, I feel like you'd have a hard time finding a brunch place with a shorter wait in most parts of the Valley. Luckily, since we were such a large group there were only so many tables that could accommodate us and one opened up within 15 minutes!
In the 15 minutes we waited we grabbed coffee from the coffee cart and mimosas from the hostess table, listened to the live music, explored the gardens, and checked out the local businesses that had booths. We even got to watch weddings get set up and one happen!
They were busy but our orders were taken quickly and our food brought out in record time. Our waitress seemed spread thin, so it was hard to get the one set of silverware we were missing, but it all happened in time. The food was great, everyone in our group loved what they ordered. It's hard to beat fresh ingredients that come straight from the farm that surrounds you as you eat. If you're going with a group, take note that there's no splitting of checks, but thank goodness for Venmo!
There are giant shade trees that kept us cool in the beautiful April weather, and the entire place had such a relaxed and happy environment. I would've loved to hang out there all day.
I had heard people talk about the Farm at South Mountain for years while I lived in the Valley, and am so glad I finally went!
