| - Was on freeway en route from Phoenix to San Diego when I became a little fuzzy brained and thought I should get off the road. I remembered watching this facility being stood up. Having worked in healthcare, some in the Valley, I'd heard lots of bad reports about Abrazo. But.... I needed care and this was the only game in town. So I went in, with my dog on her lead. Never would have left her in car.... They welcomed me, talked to my dog, cared for both my medical needs and the social needs (with respect to my dog, among other things) Once they determined it was a cardiac issue definitively, they arranged for transport to Abrazo West Campus, which I'll address separately. They waited until my fiancé arrived to see me and take my dog with him. Everyone was professional and listened to me. They were also compassionate as well as considerate. I can't think of one thing to fault and I've worked in healthcare for over 60 years. Oh, they also allowed my fiancé to leave his vehicle for two days, checking it in with their security folks.
Guess that's all....but given what I had heard from many sides, I'm sort of thinking maybe it's not always bad to "come and see!"
If anyone out at this facility reads this post, I have only to say "Thank you so very much!"
