| - Most Vegas residents aren't familiar with the Japanese chain known as Tenkaippin Ramen, but if you are, Ramen Kobo's tonkotsu broth is practically a dead ringer. They totally nailed the unique, thick, gravy-like pork broth that made me feel I could've been at one. There are a ton of people that love this, but I am not one of them. Despite the noodles being decent and that one meager slice of pork chashu (don't bother with the chashu chicken) tasting good, this simply did not give me the "kimochi" I was looking for.
For those that dislike the amount of sodium usually associated with Japanese ramen, both the tonkotsu and the light shoyu broth should please. That 5000 mg aftertaste many experience often won't happen here. I felt obligated to add spice, since it was something they push here, but it didn't improve much for me. Order it on the side and do what your heart tells you. Mine told me not to use it.
It was strange that gyoza wasn't on the menu. I asked and also overheard two of the neighboring tables ask as well. Why not just give the people what they want?
In the end, it's better than Omoide, but not as good as Sora or Jinya. One and done.
