| - I used this company based off a recommendation from a friend who used the service for a long distance move. While the estimate experience was pleasant, and Robin W. is a very lovely person to deal with, I felt like things started to come undone when the items were picked up. The driver arrived late in the afternoon, and while he was personable, I felt incredibly rushed in signing the paperwork, and didn't feel like I fully understood what I was signing. He just kept trying to explain away, and rush me. Then I was told that I was 100 cubic feet over my original estimate and that I would owe $700 more upon delivery. Fine, whatever, I could see that clearly when they packed it. But the drivers were unprepared, not even having a light for the truck when the sun set. Then, we were advised that delivery would be within 7-10 days of pick up. That's a lie. It's 7-10 business days from the first date you said you were available for delivery. Which that will change depending on who you talk to. Again, whatever, you have my stuff, what can I do. Then, I was told by the delivery driver that after the company had had my address from the beginning that they would not be able to fit the truck into my new apartment complex and now I had to pay for a shuttle which is another $300! The property management here stated they had trucks hat size deliver all the time and they could pull in and out without having to back up. Well, we tried relaying that to the delivery driver, Sam, who was a subcontractor, and a complete jerk. He refused to walk the route I was told would work. He backed into the complex after I told him not to, and the got flustered and raised his voice to me saying that he would have preferred to use the shuttle but "I insisted that he had to drive it in" and rolled his eyes at me. The person helping him actually apologized for his childish behavior more than once. I ended up paying $140 for a long carry instead of the shuttle. He never asked where I wanted my items, and was consistently rude. He didn't remove trash from the items that they wrapped and the poor young man with him actually had to offer to do it. While the office staff was pleasant enough, having to spending almost $1000 extra dollars when you're a single mom doing a state to state move was just not cool. I won't be using them again. I'll get a pod and pack my own items.
