  • Update 2/2016: Well the issue below was resolved in 12 hours once a BBB complaint was filed. Go figure. I took my car back yesterday for my first service as it was a complimentary service. I also had hope that the service department would run better than the sales given they're so separate. My appointment was at 9:20, I showed up at 9:15 ready to drop it off. The service representative had no record of my appointment even though I had received a call from them to confirm as well as an email. I, in somewhat of a snotty tone but nothing overboard, mentioned I was not surprised there was a miscommunication (see below). He proceeded to tell me I was being "mean" (as if I was screaming at him which I was far from) and told me I could take my business elsewhere if I felt the frustration I expressed. This was a pretty quick jump, very demonstrative to how I was being treated from the moment I bought the car. They had my money and quite frankly didn't care about what I needed or me as a customer. I assured him I had said nothing personally attacking him nor was I raising my voice and was dismayed he would be so quick to jump to that. As a small business owner, the last thing I would ever do working with my clients is shut the down in such a way. With everything I dealt with prior to this interaction, I had every right to take a sigh of frustration. If this is mean, I guess I am mean. I asked if he could fit me in being that he didn't have me in the schedule as it had been scheduled (on 10/17/15, mind you, 3 months prior), which he was able to squeeze it in to complete the service. While I hate to be one to complain about situations that ultimately end "ok".... I am so far from pleased from how I was treated on so many occasions. I hear you loud and clear, Peoria Kia, you don't wish to have my business. I haven't been so offended by a company on so many levels in a while; I felt very compelled to warn others of my experience. Initial Review: Ugh. Well, I really wanted to come on here and write a glowing review on my experience with Peoria Kia as I was more than pleased with my experience the day I bought my car. My salesman, Nino, has and continues to be very helpful in the process. My 5 star experience has not been the case since walking out with my keys to my new 2016 Kia Soul. I traded in a car that was paid in full with an AND/OR title. My ex and I bought the car together and were told at the time that either one of us would need to sign off in the future with no problem. Apparently that is not the case with AZ. I bought my car on 10/17, dropped off the title on 10/18 and so happy about my new purchase. 11/12 I get a call from the finance department stating they needed both parties to sign as AZ requires that. I explain to him that I have no contact with my ex whatsoever nor do I even know if he's still in AZ. He tells me if my title issue isn't resolved right away, the bank will consider the car stolen. Yep, stolen. I am baffled that not only am I being told this at the 11th hour but also the way in which (threatening) that information was explained to me was far from acceptable. I drop what I am doing, in my busiest season for work, to reach out to my ex, we work out to have the paperwork sent to him to resolve the issue... phew--so I thought. My ex and I both have reached out to several finance managers regarding paperwork needed and information on the paperwork. We've left several messages with little to no follow up. I was transferred to about 3 separate dealerships on the phone trying to reach someone at Peoria Kia and calling their main line by the receptionist. At this point, the only reliable contact I have with to my salesman directly. Mind you, I was told several weeks ago my car would be considered stolen if I was not prompt at resolving this. I am still waiting on the title issue to be resolved as its a matter of sending paperwork out of state and getting it back. I fully acknowledge the time it's taking isn't exclusively Peoria Kia's fault, I wouldn't write this review if this was the only issue. I am very disappointed in the way this information has been communicated to me and the lack of follow up from the managers at Peoria Kia. My first car payment as been made but I am still waiting on my updated plates that are due in 2 days. Thank goodness I have such a great salesman, otherwise I would be completely looped out it seems. It feels like once they got my money, nothing I needed mattered to anyone which feels terrible--how could I ever refer anyone to go through something like that? Nino is the only reason for 2 stars... he would get 5 stars if this was for just him specifically. To end things on high note, couldn't love my car any more! The Kia Soul+ is a great ride and the extra features are well worth the expense.
