  • It was a bit unconventional, but my husband and I went to Cleveland for our honeymoon, since we're not really beach people. We wanted to try out a new city and stay in a place that was centrally located. We were not disappointed at all by staying here! We were able to walk to pretty much everywhere that we wanted to go, and that came in handy on the evenings when our celebratory honeymoon drinks got to our heads. I love the architecture of the building, and the rooms as well. I was worried at first that our rooms would be a little on the "retro" side (to put it nicely), judging from the architecture of the exterior and interior of the building, but my new husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the openness of our room, wood floors, tall ceilings, and a clean non-antique appearance. There was plenty of room for us to maneuver in the room without bumping into each other as well, which was great. Plus, our view from our room was amazing! You could see the hustle and bustle of traffic, but we were far enough up in the building that we couldn't hear it. The breakfast buffet was nice, but nothing really to write home about. If you're looking to fuel up before exploring the city, it'll give you what you need. One star was taken off because we had an issue with the big tub in our room. The plug was not working, and it took about 30 minutes for someone to come up and take a look at it after we called the front desk. Then, the guy "fixed" it and left. We tried filling the tub up again to discover that the plug still wasn't working. We called the desk again, and went through the routine once more. After the second attempt and having the plug still not work, we gave up. It was our last night in the room anyway. I can't really say anything about the cost per night, since our hotel stay was a wedding gift. If the hubby and I ever make it to Cleveland again, this is definitely going to be at the top of my list for hotels to stay at!
