First time here. When we entered the building the staff greeted us and was very nice. They give locals a slight discount. Woohoo The museum looks old inside but that's ok. Not everything can be new and shiny. I was amazed at the size of some of these animals! You see them on tv and you think they are a certain size but when you see them in real life...WOW. We didn't get to see everything the museum had to offer because of time restraints but we did get to do the animal petting. They brought out a ball python, tarantula and a legless lizard ( yes it's a real thing, goggle it). The kids got to touch them all and the lady explained a few things about each animal.
The dinosaur exhibit was a hit with the kids. The dinosaurs even move and roar when a button is pressed. Very cool.
In the Egypt area there was an employee who would tell you just about everything you would want or need to know about that exhibit. He was full of cool information.
We did find the most of the museum very dusty. Not sure if it's because of all the stuffed animals but our sinuses we're going crazy. There was also a weird smell in most of the areas but again, the building is full of old stuff.
At the end of the day, we did enjoy our time there. I would like to go back again to read more about the displays.
