The staff and volunteers at Bike Pittsburgh are wonderful. Courteous. Helpful. They are an assert to their immediate neighbors, neighborhood, city as a whole, and region.
As a neighbor to the Bike Pittsburgh offices, I've had the pleasure to scrutinize their daily operations. Mostly I've my knowledge with the operation is through small hello's while they park or while I attend events away from their offices.
As neighbors they've been attentive about the intense parking situation on the residential street they operate from. Staff and visitors park in their business lot and keep street space open for neighbors like myself. I don't have off street parking available and due to an accident have mobility issues & have a young child. It's important to have a business that is mindful of neighbors and who don't block parking with multiple moving vehicles and then their staff and volunteers vehicles taking up the whole block because they have an event. It would just be obnoxious of a business group to flood a residential area with their own parking & moving vans- and then threaten to tow any neighbors who park in their lot for five minutes because the neighborhood street parking is full.Thankfully Bike Pittsburgh is mindful or their neighbors and is trying to be a good neighbor to the people that their operation impacts.
