I am confused about the many good reviews for this buffet. Did they eat at the same buffet as I did? With a price tag of about $45 I was expecting a pretty darn good dining experience. Instead I walked away very disappointed. There is a lot of food and variety to pick from. But good variety does not always translate to good tasting food. The raw oysters did not taste fresh, were a bit fishy, and had the consistency of snot glued to a shell. I have eaten enough raw oysters elsewhere to know a good one. These were not. The chilled shrimp with house cocktail sauce were quite good. The crab legs (snow not king) were too salty for either my wife or I to eat. The clam chowder was so-so and no better than what you might get at Denny's. The mushroom bisque was a flavorless mess. The prime rib was badly overcooked. Apparently no one told the chefs that the standard temperature for prime rib is medium-rare, not medium-well. The lamb chops were properly cooked to medium rare. Desserts were the only thing really good. The gelatos were great, but certainly not worth the admission price of $45.
