| - SETTING:
Store on the corner with good selection. Great sales from time to time. 3 Guys usually puts a little sign right outside the store to advertise their deals. Clean and quiet inside with a good amount of selection of prescription glasses and sunglasses with all kinds of price ranges. Great to see they feature a local Pittsburgh company (Chromos) too!
SERVICE:
At the 3 Guys, I never felt like I was pressured to buy anything. The two guys (and one gal) would always start with asking what I was looking for and try to help, but would respect my space and not hover over me. What's one thing I dislike more than being hungry and skipping a meal for work? Answer: a hovering and persistent salesman/saleswoman playing man to man defensive coverage on me at a store.
I certainly appreciate the space, but perhaps they are a little too relaxed here. I wanted a particular pair of shades and they didn't have them in, so I asked when the new shipment would arrive. They said to come back in a week, so I did. New shades still weren't here, so I gave them my number and requested they call me. Another week went by, and no call, so I went back down to the store. They told me they lost my number and still haven't received shipment. I gave them my number a second time. No call for a few days, so I called them instead. Turns out, "Oh the shipment is here! Sorry we didn't call you right away." Thanks...???
IMPRESSIONS:
Nice guys, but honestly if I wasn't this strongly interested in that particular pair of shades, they would have quickly lost me as a customer. I probably would not have even come back and/or call to check on the status THREE separate times. Way too much effort spent on my part following up with them. Plenty of wasted time whenever I would come in the store just to leave without my new sunglasses in hand. It was a bit frustrating, to say the least.
I left my phone number on a post-it note too, so I'm surprised they were careless with it from a very serious customer. For a place that has 3 overly-energetic looking guys as their logo, their customer service seemed to give exactly the opposite vibe.
