  • Okay this Review is Waaaay Overdue...and Since there are Only 2 Reviews, I Feel the Need to Throw in My Take on this...Again, This is Just One Reviewers Opinion!!! This is a Very Beautiful area of Las Vegas. Very Well-Kept, and there is Security making their Rounds. Southern Highlands has quite a few Small Parks in the Area, I Believe the Main Park would be Goett Park. They do seem to have Activities at this Park, as well as Jimmy Pettyjohn Jr. Park, which they do hold Movies in the Park on Several Occassions. Oops, forgot to Mention the Various Dog Parks around the Community as well. There are quite a few eateries in the area as well, and you are Minutes away from The M Resort, Southpoint, and Silverton Casinos. Easy Access to the I-15 Freeway. As far as shopping goes, well there is a Smith's Grocery Store, as well as Fresh and Easy Across the Street. There are also a Varity of Shoppes, an Ace Hardware Store, Fitness 19, and Quite a Few Eateries in that area as well. A Walgreens Drug Store is there as well, with a Drive-Thru Pharmacy. This Community is a Quiet Neighborhood, Very Lush and Green. And, Growing as I am Writing this Review. There have been at least 2 more Apartment Complexes that have Developed, as well as More Houses as well. So Yes, this part of Las Vegas is In this Reviewers Opinion Still Growing. Mind you it does seem far from everything, but I haven't found that so. Anywhere I went took me at least 20 Minutes. It may seem like a lot to some people, but at least it gives you time to DeStress from Work...lol! There is only One Con that I See...Which is that when People Walk their Dogs, most of them don't Pick Up after them. That's it! As I have Read the Previous Reviews, The Homeowners Fees are a bit High, but that's due to Maintaining the Community!
