As a regular here for the last year I have to give these guys a below average review after my last two experiences which were both sub-par because of careless attitudes of several staff members. Before these experiences one after the other I would have added another star or two
Let's start with the good points:
- a good selection of beers from all over and in decent sizes e.g pints
- a nice atmosphere: good music, comfortable seating indoors in the booths, a nice sized patio area and good looking bar
- the food is mostly ok for pub food, about what you'd expect quality wise and although not cheap it comes in a decent size
The cons:
- wait staff are very slow and often come across as unhelpful or just downright rude
My issue started when I was served some ribs that were burned at the bottom. After bringing it to the waitresses attention I was told "oh that sucks". After some insistence on my part that something be done I was given a ten dollar off voucher for my next visit. I guess I should have insisted on a discount there and then.
On the next visit I was told by the bartender the voucher could only be used on food, which was not printed on it, when I wanted to use it for a drink. Trying to take it up with the manager was too hard, I guess he was hiding away somewhere or just didn't exist, so I gave the voucher to my friend who had offered food on the same visit.
Given this was a credit for a bad experience I shouldn't be having to explain myself or argue over semantics. The bartender knew me from a number of visits but apparently this is just how they treat regulars
