  • I chose to visit based upon a Groupon deal. I provide a two-star review because the room I was in was very well appointed, and the esthetician, Anna, was very personable. If not for these two things, I'd give a 1 star. "If the room was so nice, and the esthetician was nice, why a 1-star?" you ask. We'll, that would be because my friendly, personable esthetician cut my face while performing the dermaplaning that was part of my Groupon. I've had dermaplaning previously, and I've never had this type of issue. I've also never been told the reason it happened is because my skin is too thin from using my Mary Kay timewise cleanser daily. I thought she had simply scraped my skin a little too firmly, or I would have dealt with my concerns before I left the spa. Unfortunately, now that the rest of my skin has calmed, it is obvious I have a cut on one cheekbone and a scrape on the opposite cheek. The esthetician here has been licensed for a year. I'll be sure to do more research in the future prior to making an appointment for any services where the individual performing that service is holding a scalpel.
