| - In a nut shell, I was lied to and ripped off. Spent 6000 here on pots and star jasmine thinking maybe I was buying quality or exceptional customer service. But no, I bought a sack full of overpriced lies and broken promises. Star Jasmine should never be planted in full sun during the summer, but nobody at Moon Valley thought to disclose that to me after I asked if full summer sun is OK. The pots I bought were almost triple the price of comparable sizes from other suppliers , and so were the plants. I found the same size and colored pot for 100 dollars at another location, this place acted like 300 dollars was a bargain. Half of the star jasmine started dying 3 days after planting, but moon valley told it was just "transplant shock". Then two completely died a week later, and 6 are half dead. 5 are doing OK, because they get a little more shade than the rest. I asked if I could get them replaced and they told me they were waiting to get some in. It's been a month since then and they still haven't received any. I dragged my family and I in today to talk to someone and they told me they couldn't get any in because the plants don't "do well in the summer sun". Then I asked "then why did your guys allow my plants to be delivered and planted during the summer?", they're reply was "we plant them all the time in summer" then I replied "then why can't I get replacement star jasmine to replace my dead ones?"
I feel like they took 6000 dollars away from my family and never really cared about keeping us happy. I will never come back to this nursery and will not recommend it to anyone I know.
I received a phone call two weeks ago from someone whom seemed like they cared to resolve my problems, but so far my back yard is full of dead and half dead plants. One summer ruined because of this low rate nursery and lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I guess I'll have to wait until next year before I can enjoy my back yard.
Update: MV finally came out this past weekend to replace the dead Star Jasmine. Almost 4.5 months have come and gone since I first walked into MV to place my initial order until I finally felt satisfied with my backyard. They got it right now, but I still will never use them again. If their business management team knows anything about running a business they would get a Quality manager hired and inspecting these jobs once in a while.
