This is a pretty busy Metro at Liberty Village. I actually try to avoid going to this Metro because it's located in Liberty Village. However most of the time I do manage to find free 20 minute parking next to their building which is handy, since the rest of the parking spots are all pay parking and I don't want to risk a fine.
Their service and staff are pretty friendly. Once there was 1/2 bushels of red Shepard peppers on sale and when I didn't see any, I asked a staff and they went to the back and wheeled some out.
Another time here was a special on prime rib and when we didn't see any, the butcher was happy to go to the back and get a new one out to cut us the hunk that we were happy with.
This time we went to get more prime rib ....they make for excellent rotisserie roasts and steaks! They had them in stock and we were in and out of there in less then 10 mins. Great service and due to the long weekend, it wasn't all that busy because I guess most of liberty village left the city for the weekend.
The decor is old Metro style, but that's okay, it's functional . Their prices are decent and their sales are usually on par or slightly better then or neighbouring Loblaws, and produce is much better and prices are miles better then our neighbouring Sobeys.
