Semi-pro soccer under the stars, what a great night. It was game 2 of all time for the team hoping to be granted one of the expansion team slots if the local support is strong enough. If last night's game was any example of what family friendly, fun can be had watching soccer, my fingers are crossed for this team to join the big leagues.
The crowd was filled with diversity. It included families with grade school aged children, couples on date night and groups of friends out having fun. I also heard a diverse blend of languages and European accents. The most passionate soccer fans seemed also to have the strongest accents, which only added to the energy of the crowd.
There were food trucks to choose from and Budweiser and Four Peaks options for beer.
Bathrooms lines were relatively short even at half time. I was glad to see they had trailer style toilets facilities instead of just port-a-johns
Phoenix Rising won the game 2-1.
Parking was a relatively quick exit considering the nearly 7000 in attendance.
