I went to a 10am class this morning to wait until 10:20a.m. until I Ieft. A very nice couple came to open the studio at 10:00a.m. and said the instructor Julie was always late. They were not employees, just regular students. I can give a few minutes, but not 20. Even though this is a donation based studio there is no excuse to be that late. After leaving at 10:20 I telephoned the owner twice and never received a return call which is sad because I think this is the same instructor that teaches the dance youth at West Las Vegas Arts Center. Highly unprofessional, but sadly that is the norm in Vegas. When you meet people who are professional and do what they say and will be there when they say, they are keepers.
I didn't mind the art gallery atmosphere or the flooring or the street traffic noise. My time was wasted and I can't get that back. Discipline is one of the principles of yoga, it's not just doing asanas on a mat. I will never be back and I will never recommend to anyone. They just drove me to their competitor, Sin City Yoga. On my way to a 5:30p.m. class there with the owner. They are there 15 minutes prior to each class, how a true yoga studio should be. Perhaps others like having their time wasted, I do not.
