rev:text	There are two parts to this review customer service and work completed. Customer service I just recently took my truck with ICON shocks to soften up my ride as it was too harsh. This place was recommended to my by ICON as I don't want to ship my shocks to California for them to install reservoirs and change valving to get softer ride. I called this place and explained why I was calling and why I don't want take the shocks off to and pay to ship them to ICON and it would be easier to just bring the truck in. I was told they can definitely soften up my ride but did not recommend installing reservoirs with adjustments as they are too expensive and same outcome can be achieved different valves in the shock. I was advised that cost was $125 per shock and they scheduled the appt. when I got there one of the reps went outside with me and looked at the truck advised I would need an alignment afterwards, that I shouldn't keep my airbags disconnected. One option he mentioned is to lower the truck down to 2.5" and I did not want that as my tires would rub. I also did not want to lower it as it would require cutting of the frame or subframe and truck rode just fine on stock shocks before ICON was installed. I gave him my keys and went home. Next day truck was done and I had a big surprise when I tried to pick it up. Instead of paying $500-$600 for the service it was a price tag of just over $1000. I brought up the discrepancy but was told that additional fee was to remove and put the shocks back on to complete the work. I argued that I was not advised that was not included in the in the initial discussion and if I had known I wouldn't have authorized the service or any work for that matter. Bottom line is if I wanted my truck back I had to pay weather I authorized the service or not as it was already completed. Next day one of the reps called to let me know that they indeed overcharged/overbilled hours and want to provide a refund but only if I drive back and do it in person. I live over 60miles away so making a 120mile trip for refund of less than $100 seems hardly worth it. Few days later once I calmed down and rationalized it still felt that I was taken advantage of so I called to speak to a manager. Either they are all managers or the rep that was actually helping happened to be a manager but I was transferred to him. I started the conversation with the issues of being overcharged and transitioned to praising their work on the alignment but complaining about no change in stiffness and bumpy ride even after they deflated my tires for 20psi. Guy did not seem interested at all seeing my view point and was focused on the work that they completed and not on the lack of value or benefit I received for the money. He again offered partial refund due to overcharged hours but I still had to drive there to get it in person. I tried to talk to maybe having some other work done to get the discussed ride quality but conversation escalated to the point where I advised that I am being left with no options and that could cause me to consider small claims court. He abruptly interrupted me saying that because I am threatening to peruse legal action conversation is over and I can only contact them through email. So now I really have no other option than to do just that and still have to go to another shop to get shocks retorqued as I have a sticker on my windshield to do that. Work completed As I mentioned before best alignment work I ever had on the truck and great work there Shocks ride just as stiff as they did before with little on the mushy side on the speed bumps and getting on the driveway which doesn't help. I specially asked softer ride for street riding and small bumps and imperfections on the road and I did not get any of it, especially if I return tire PSI to recommended setting. They did not deliver on the promise for my request and price was almost double the price over the phone. It feels like bait and switch. Quick update, now one of the shocks that they revalved is leaking. Sad thing is truck didn't see dirt at all since revalving...
