Well, unhappy employees = bad service; that's a basic fact too many employers don't get. I don't know how to explain the other bad thing I experienced.
First, the employees. A strong sense of unhappiness oozes from them and it's reflected in the way they treat you. I dealt with about 5 of them this trip. Kudos to the woman who happily showed me where wiper blades were. And one of the two sad guys I dealt with in the car service department was at least trying to be helpful.
But for the guy in the Returns department who looked at me from behind the counter and then just walked away without a word- that was not good. No 'someone will be with you shortly', nothing. Then he came back a couple of minutes later just as i was being served and asked the woman serving me where the 'vacation forms' were. He had his priorities; I get it. And the woman serving me in Returns was just miserably going through the motions, no 'thank you', no 'sorry our wiper blades guide is a piece of crap'.
Which brings me to the other bad thing. After punching in my car model and year and engine type I get a choice of about 30 wiper blades to choose from. Turns out they are all, somehow, wrong. But I only found that out after buying a pair from their list and trying them out on my car and then going back with my actual wiper blade and realizing all the ones they suggest are wrong. But this time because I brought my blade back from my car to compare I matched up the blade myself visually.
All in all, this trip perfectly encapsulated why I dislike Crappy Tire.
