So I still love this place. However, recently, a lot of the prices have increased significantly. One example is that the Soy Free Earth Balance (vegan butter) cost MORE than at the local (overpriced) Loblaws. All of my vitamins have gone up by at least $2-4 a bottle or more. The Kohinoor pre-made Indian meals are twice the price of what they're charging at the local Metro. I don't want to have to go to large chain grocery stores to get a better price than here.
Don't get me wrong, I know that prices go up but I'm seeing more and more products throughout the store that are MORE expensive than at the local Loblaws. : 0 ( I'm here daily and I know my prices (I comparison shop). I also spend A LOT of money here every month, and with no "Good Customer Cards" (you know, the kind where you get a stamp for every $20/50/75/100 that you spend, after the card is full you get $ off/free), I depend on their low prices but for the same price, I can go to Loblaws and accumulate PC points. Or I can go to the health food stores in Kensington Market to get the lower prices. I hope that they will not take advantage of the customers and will still offer fair prices. It would be disappointing to have to switch to a different store.
