Unlike in places like Southern California where Fatburger has abandoned the crowded high-end fast food market and opted for urban stores in working class neighborhood serving primarily the minority communities, the Toronto version is aiming for the hip and trendy crowd that pays up to $20 for a "combo" and expects top of the line service and product.
That's exactly where Fatburger fails however for that it delivers neither with a service protocol that is mundane at best (does anybody ever smile in here?) and food that is better than McDonald's but far from the quality available greatly elsewhere in Toronto.
Points for cleanliness and pleasant decor, not much for everything else.
