When I took my annual respite of relaxation to Las Vegas I was promised a surprise by my host my first reaction was fear but also a bit of curiosity. Even though I'd lived near the water a lot of my life I had never paddle boarded in my life. But friend who had done it before told me that he got such a rush from doing it, I decided to give it a try a I am game for most things at least once. Upon arriving there I was met by the staff and when I relayed my trepidation, he walked me through it with a professional and at times playful exuberance to ease my concerns. Chad especially showed a genuine passion for it and seemed to love what he does and this helped alleviate my concerns. So basically jumped in (figuratively and literally) due to what he said. He showed me what it entailed, and the dos and don'ts with a smile. Example: After failing a few times and getting frustrated he said if nothing else it will help your swimming skiils. I finally got it and had a blast doing it.
Due to a chronic illness I am limited in what I do and I never thought I'd enjoy something as much as I did and It also was therapeutic oersonally I believe it It was the knowledgeable staff and patience that truly gave me an adrenaline rush. So now whenever I come back that way I will definitely be returning.as long as my body allows. If you've done it before, I highly recommend doing it again here. And if you have always wanted to do or have never done but wanted to, I recommend Go Stand Up Paddle. You will get your money's worth I guarantee it. I can't thank you all enough for my experience. I know I'm a little wordy here but I really cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my day and overcame my fears.
