On Friday, December 30th, I had been looking for a piercer who would use surface bars for two piercings in my collarbone region. I called the Chandler location and specified that I did not want dermals and if someone at the shop would do surface bar piercings. Their answer was yes. When I went in and asked, one staff member told another staff member "You do it," to which the other staff member said no (at this point I begin to second guess getting the piercings there). When someone decided to help me, he brought me to the back and asked if I knew why no one wanted to do it. I said I had a feeling but I have had a surface bar piercing for five years at the nape of my neck and was happy with it. He said the piercings would look bad with a surface bar (I had a collarbone piercing before with an experienced piercer and it looked nice) and then he proceeded to dig through the jewelry, without gloves. He told me he couldn't find the right size. I appreciated the honesty but it should have began during my phone call so I did not waste my time. Also, don't hand-off customers in front of them. That's rude, very distasteful. I will never come to this shop again. I would rather pay extra for friendly faces who wear gloves and walk you through the experience.
