| - I came to this site to get the address of Service Techniques for a friend and saw the review by Jeff K which I could not let go by without comment.
I have been a customer of Kevin's for over five years and would not do business anywhere else. Kevin, Dale and his crew are the most honest car repair people I have found in my 20+ years in Arizona. After years of being ripped off by large chain car repair stores ... (The ASU Mascot people come to mind...) a friend recommend Kevin years ago.
Kevin and his crew service all four vehicles in our family. If things are broken, they will fix them. And if they are not, they will tell you. I just had my 99 GMC in to have them look at the transmission and brakes... both were OK as it turns out and... no charge, even though they topped off my transaxel fluid... and yes the seal had a slight leak... but did not need to be changed right now... who else would have told me that. At the "other" guys I'd be paying for new brake pads, and who knows what else.
A couple of years ago, I was picking up a vehicle late in the day when an old woman driving an old car was in. Her old car needed a new radiator, but it was obvious she did not have the money to pay for one. Kevin sensed that and said... "but if you can wait a day or so, we could probably find a used one for you at a junk yard..." and that's what they did. And saved that poor woman alot of money. But that's Kevin.
This fellow Jeff K who wrote the previous review was the kind of jerk whose business Kevin doesn't really want or need anyway no matter what the business climate is. You could tell by his comment of "reading the riot act" to the help. As a small businessman myself, I can tell you that there are some customers with an attitude you'd rather just send down the street to the "ASU Guys" than have their business. Kevin feels the same way.
So... pay your money, take your choice, because after all, it is yours in the end. You can't please all the people all the time... why bother?
