| - Renovations are done, and now Snap is stellar. Equipment is bigger and better than ever. There's still a handful of cardio machines, a good selection of free weights, and punching bags. The crowning glory is their TWO power racks (!!!!!!!!!!), which means no more giving people the stink-eye when they claim a power cage and take an hour to do deadlifts. Plus, there's still a smith machine when you need it.
Other additions include a rowing machine, fancy abs/glutes/miniscule muscle parts machines, and a studio. There are mirrors everywhere, perfect for the form-obsessed (or the inner Narcissus). The studio is fantastic too, but only open during the day when the staff are available. It's the perfect place to wind down. And the washroom! There are showers and ottomans now so you'll think you're in a fancy nightclub.
That being said, the main reason this gym's still getting 4 stars is it's somewhat cramped, with equipment crammed beside one another. You'll reach for kettlebells, then find yourself inches away from someone's pec flies. Maybe take out some of the more useless glue machines? Also, most of the machines seem made for giants; I can barely reach the pull-up bars, adjust the leg press, etc. without compromises. But the new power racks. are so beautiful.
Verdict: Super convenient (open 24/7). Great staff. Everything really is better and shinier. -1 star due to personal preferences/neuroses. Otherwise, this gym has everything you need.
