| - Wandering through Kensington Market, I saw a store labelled, "Kid Icarus." I like video games. Video games are fun. They're an important source of calcium for all growing boys and girls, or some such nonsense.
So, it I went. It turned out to be a screen printing store. Want to buy your own screen printing supplies? Check. Want to buy some screen prints? Check.
The screen prints they sell are limited in number, so it seems as if you have to check back regularly to not miss out. And while I dig this, there was also something that bothered me - some of their prints are "limited edition" runs.
For example, the old Metropolis movie - they made posters for it. The red and black versions were $35.00, but the "limited edition," was $65.00. Charging more for a colour pallet seems like an odd choice.
There's a great image of Donkey Kong sitting on barrels, using the princess' rib to pick his teeth, having just eaten her and Mario. There was another great Zelda print that I would have picked up (if the ink were green, and not yellow.)
I'll be back. As I said - I like video games. And, as a growing man, I now like art. So - hey - both these things work.
