| - André at the front desk was so incredibly welcoming and accommodating, from the phone call to in-person. The facility is clean, the halls are bright white, and the room is huge for the price. The showers are big and it's got moderately high water pressure. For a Red Roof Inn, this is one of the better ones I've stayed in! If you're looking for a cheap stop in Charlotte but don't want to sacrifice comfort, I highly recommend this location.
Other notes about the double room, at least the one we stayed in: the sink is inside the bathroom, the tub has scallop shell fixtures to rest your foot/sit, and two more at shoulder height for soap/shampoo, and a long enough bar to fit two wash cloths. The room has a computer chair and desk, four drawer dresser, night stand microwave, flat screen tv, mini fridge and coffee maker.
Negatives: just depends on what you're used to and what you're expecting. It's no Mariot, but as far as quick and cheap, you really don't sacrifice cleanliness or comfort. It's a little old but it looks like they've kept t up and even remodeled it somewhat. A little peeling on the bathroom wallpaper but no bare walls showing. Hallway smelled smokey but the Non smoking room smelled fine. Ask for the wifi password; we seemed to have forgotten that checking in. But really. Great room for the price and Andre really makes you feel welcome.
