| - I haven't physically gone into the clinic so I'm *solely* reviewing the customer service I received over the phone. I found this walk-in clinic via Google, reviews are decent, website was informative & approachable. I needed to see a doctor on short notice (not an ER emergency) but my GP wasn't available.
Even though their website stated the hours & that no appointment is needed, I called them to double check they are still taking in patients for the day... you know, there could be an epidemic in the area & there's already twenty patients waiting, etc. The woman who answered my call paused, sighed, then w a fed up & sarcastic tone of voice, said, "It is only eleven in the morning." Dead silence on her end. I was startled as I didn't feel like I did anything offensive or was being difficult to merit that kind of attitude. I called them bc I'd rather not spend extra time traveling there only to be turned away.
I wish I could've politely indicated my question wasn't answered or provide constructive feedback right away but I was too stunned by her response & just thanked her & ended the call.
The online reviews of the doctors were all good so it's a shame the one employee w whom I interacted happened to have a nasty attitude & sounded like she hated her life. I've worked several years as a clinic receptionist so I am keen to recognize good customer service when I see it. All the same, I don't find this first contact for patients gave a good first impression.
Bc I'm not reviewing the doctors yet & I'm giving the woman in question the benefit of the doubt (hey, anyone can have a crappy day), I'll rate 2/5 instead of 1/5 for now.
