| - I had been a loyal member since 2011 (my card has been charged $39.95/month to maintain member status). On January 2nd, I was charged an additional $10, without warning. I called to investigate, and here's where it all went south.
I spoke with Joy, who informed me that they sent an "email" out to everyone, but unfortunately they did not have my email address on file. I asked her what phone number they had for me, and it was current, yet they never tried to call me.
After being informed that prices were increasing, I told her I wanted to cancel my membership. At this point, I'm told if I cancel, I will lose these "points" I've been accumulating. (I honestly wasn't even aware I was accumulating points - this was the first time anyone had ever mentioned anything about points)
Now that I understand what's happening, I go to book an appointment so I can use the 12 massages I have saved up. She puts me with someone I've had before, but then informs me, there is no an additional charge for doing deep tissue massage! As someone who's dealt with chronic pain for 15 years, I NEED deep tissue for relief.
It's such a shame. When Steve owned it, I was greeted by name every visit, and felt like I was in good hands. Now that there are new owners, I feel like I'm no longer a person, but a set of dollar signs. Once I use up my massages, I will never go back.
I DO NOT recommend this place. Pity.
