  • It's not what happens, it's how you recover - and it's about giving an opportunity to make things right. I must say I bristle when car problems happen because I have been taken advantage of before. But read what happens here. My car would not start, had it jumped off twice over the weekend before I could get to Precision Tune. I was very concerned not knowing if it was the battery, the starter or the alternator. Precision Tune worked me in late Monday and installed a new battery. I was good to go-I thought. I went back to the office and it started up fine after 2 hours, went to dinner for 4 hours and now it was deader than the last battery - it would not even power dashboard lights, nor let me drive for more than 3 feet without cutting off. I was thinking I had been sold a battery I did not need and started researching Parasitic Energy drain. I have a Verizon Hum unit plugged into the OBD on my car and did find some posts saying it drained their battery. I still don't know if that was true but removed it. I left my car in the parking lot and got a ride home. When I called Holly the next morning, she immediately jumped into the solution, arranged the tow truck to pick me up at home, drive to car and towed it to Precision Tune. Seems, on a fluke, a tested battery, new battery was bad so they replaced it. I was so concerned there was still an unknown drain that I was asking Wayne to spend the time to test so it would not happen again. He was very patient and explained he did not think it was necessary for me to spend that money; just drive it, then let it sit, if it happens again, then we could approach that. (But I did disconnect the Hum device) Of course he was correct and it just started right up this morning :-) This is stellar customer service. Holly and Wayne are very pleasant. You will probably run into several regular customers. If there is a problem, and good, new batteries go bad, be open-minded - they really care and do offer excellent customer service.
