| - I'm gonna make this simple and then I'll make it complex.
SIMPLE: go to The Tee Pee, order this, specifically: Green Burrito, smothered, enchilada style. Comes with rice and beans. Delicious!
I've been to other Mexican restaurants in town, including the vastly overrated Los Dos. The food at Los Dos was hot...so what? How hard is it to make something hot? It's not hard, it's easy. The trick is to make it TASTE GOOD and then make it hot. Tee Pee does this. More flavor. I'm always preaching, "MORE FLAVOR"!
Back to simple/complex...SIMPLE: go to The Tee Pee, order this, specifically: Green Burrito, smothered, enchilada style. Comes with rice and beans.
COMPLEX: Order the rice and beans on a separate plate and ask for extra green chile SAUCE on the burrito. Order it for lunch, it's cheaper.
MORE COMPLEX: why is this burrito so good? Because it's really a two-part burrito.
First part, they take a cut of meat, cube it, and they simmer it in a gravy, like a spicey, delicious brown gravy. And they simmer it so long it becomes quite tender. When you or your lovely partner orders a Green Burro, smothered, they spoon this stew, called "guisada", into the tortilla. They roll the burrito , place on the plate and then smother it with green chile sauce (I always say green chile sauce so as not confuse it with actual green chilies) and broil it hot...piping hot.
The "enchilada style" I'm sure you know just means melted cheese on top like an enchilada.
Like HD...you knew that it was high defintion.
The combination of the stew meat and sauce along with the green chile sauce is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
At lunch, with chips and hot sauce, $8.95. and it's either a filling lunch or portioning the beans and rice, it's 1/2 for lunch, 1/2 for dinner.
Love ya lots. Mean it!
