| - This is a really Cheffy place to go. Tarbell is like one of the Iron Chef masters I see on the Food Network. Oh wait-- he actually is an Iron Chef winner and I really did see him on the Food Network ...
The restaurant is beautiful, from the moment you walk in. It isn't too big so there is generally a lot of intimacy at your table. An amazing wine selection, some affordable and some extremely expensive and high-quality. Every employee from the manager to the hostess to the server is clean and articulate and knowledgeable about the menu.
They have interesting things on the menu that I just don't see that often. I haven't necessarily liked every single thing I've had (duck sausage) but I have tried a lot of new things by eating here that are not even available elsewhere. I mean... When was last time you saw duck sausage on a menu?
Some of my favorites on the menu include their prime rib, New York strip, risotto, the salmon, the beet salad, and the seasonal vegetable plate. Their menu, at least part of it, changes with the seasons so everything you get is fresh and tasty.
So, it is Cheffy and upscale, and maybe not a place you would go to every week or even every month. But you'll have a great experience and it won't break the bank even if it will be a little bit pricey.
