News was buzzing around my mom group about this new baby toy store on the east Danforth that was supposed to be really cool, so on an outing I decided to check it out with a mom friend.
Silly Goose Kids is smart for a couple of reasons:
1) Its run by people who have been in the kids retail business (and they're mothers) for years so they get what consumers want and they know their products well.
2) They have a wide range of toys for a wide range of budgets and also carry feeding accessories and clothing.
3) They are thisclose to Cake Town Cafe (http://tinyurl.com/3cl3raj) which means I, and many other moms will be traveling there many times dosed with scone-y goodness and bleary eyed from lattes willing to buy anything that will make our screaming infants STFU for 15 minutes while we enjoy our sugar high.
And the best part: I didn't feel pressured to buy anything despite letting my whiny sleep-deprived 10 month old destroy the entire train set table and back a ride-on car right into a display. You know, cause destroying a toy store is a nice break from chewing up all the books in the library. Parenting is all about providing variety!
