Stopped in to pick up 2 large strawberry shakes. I wondered why I was charged $3.69 for two shakes. Assumed they were on sale. Got to the pickup window the guy handed me a shake and looked at me like what are you waiting for. I said I ordered 2. He said I was charged for one. I said then charge me for a second one he said he didn't have a cash drawer and I would have to drive around the building to get back in line. I said I wasn't and gave it back to him and said find someone to give me my money back. He called Gloria from the drive thru order window. She started to argue with me that I ordered one I said no I ordered two. I handed it to her she said I'll get you a second but you'll have to pay for it. I said fine but don't appreciate being told it was my mistake when it wasn't.
Sonic doesn't make mistakes like that and have better shakes. Too bad for me and them they were out of the way from where I was. I didn't see any printed order on any screen when I ordered like Wendy's has. Or I would have said from the get go I ordered 2.
I stop in here now and then. But no more. I understand they can't just give food away but teach customer service and how to nicely tell a customer they ordered incorrectly. Better yet close and let Valero take over the whole building.
No loss to the neighborhood. All she had to say was I heard one and apologize for her mistake. I didn't expect to be handed one for free but don't get all high and mighty and tell me it was my fault. She never gave any indication that it could have been her mistake.
