| - All I can say is WOW! I called Tranquil Family Dentistry the day after Christmas because I literally broke my front tooth in half. No Christmas photos for me this year! I've been in Charlotte for 3 years and had yet to search for a dentist. I've been going back to CA for all my cleanings and dental work. Until now.
Dr. Savage happened to be in the office the day after Christmas when they were closed and answered my call. She was kind enough to help reception get caught up with messages & paperwork. She also scheduled me for the next day, 12/27 and also 12/28 just in case there were too many appointments as she did not want to have to rush through the procedure of fixing my tooth - especially since she's never seen me before.
I've been having this procedure done since I was 7 or 8 years old - I know I need veneers, it's been told to me all my life, but until insurance covers the cost, I simply can't afford $1000-1200 per tooth. Also, anytime I've gone to a new dentist, it usually takes a couple tweaks to get the bonding, the color match and shape of my tooth correct. Dr. Savage KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK on the first try! She did such a fantastic job in what seemed to be a somewhat of a stressful, overbooked day and yet, my teeth are the BEST they have ever looked. She also booked me enough time to have a cleaning prior to the treatment - which was a pleasant surprise and also another very positive experience.
While her name may be an oxymoron, Dr. Grace Savage is a gracious, straight shooter, no smoke & mirrors, get down to business, BEAST! She took on my broken tooth like it was nothing (realizing it was worse than she imagined when I spoke to her over the phone) and made my smile beautiful again. The entire time she was working on my tooth, she continually asked if I was doing okay - even though she had 15 other things going on around her requiring her attention. She is excellent!! And I'm so happy I can now say I have a dentist in Charlotte!
Aerial was a great hygienist also! Very friendly, polite, checked to make sure I was always doing okay (I noted I was a wimp in my paperwork and had traumatic experiences in the past).
Another perk about Tranquil Family Dentistry is that their dental chairs are massage chairs!! This is INGENIOUS! The whole time I was there, I could not believe this hasn't been done before - and they provide you sunglasses! No glaring lights through your eyelids while they perform their work or even better, if you are wearing makeup the sunglasses protect your eyes from the water that occasionally sprays up. Maybe this has been done before, but I just haven't been to the right dental office, until now. :)
