So I tried online grocery shopping last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the concept of being lazy and not going to the store and doing my shopping online. The guy who delivered my order was super nice and was on time for my selected window. I tried to tip him; but drivers apparently don't receive tips and he wouldn't accept the tip.
The issues I had were I selected a peach for a salad recipe I was using this week and received nectarines. Not that big of deal I guess but kind of hard to mix up the two. One is fuzzy. The other isn't.
Issue No. 2: I selected ribless chicken breasts and the price was $6.59 on my receipt when I checked out. I noticed my receipt was way more than my cart and looked it over. I was charged $16.59 for a pack of 3 chicken breasts with ribs. Granted, I didn't look at the chicken package to see if this was the actual price or just a typo but I called customer service and the gentleman on the phone was courteous and helpful.$16.59 for chicken?! I hope it was a typo. I know there are issues with chickens and the flu but wow. I was offered a refund on my card, or a credit on my account for next time. I choose the credit on my account to give them a second chance.
My last issue #3 was I'm 100% certain I selected a plain bag of cauliflower; but was given a bag of broccoli/cauliflower mix. I'm not certain how cauli rice will turn out with the broccoli but hmm. My receipt indicated broccoli/ cauliflower so unfortunately it may have been my fault that I didn't catch the substitution.
I also passed on my compliments about the driver, who said they would pass along to his boss. I hope they actually do.
