| - I'm going to give this 4 stars now. Let's do the breakdown:
Service: 5 stars. My second time in here was today at about 10am. I walked in and within 15 seconds I was greeted and given a table and menu. I did not feel rushed at all while looking at it, and as soon as I decided I was asked my order. All throughout the meal they were kind and they spoke good English. When I went up to the counter to pay, the cashier was extremely kind and made conversation. They are also open at 8am because people come in for coffee. So if you want Vietnamese for breakfast then go for it!
The Food: 4 stars. The pho I had last time I was not a big fan of at all...tho now I think that might have been because I added in the sauce they gave thinking it was supposed to be added, but without the sauce it would have been better....hey it was my first time ever eating it! Today tho I decided to try the #46, which was steamed rice with plenty of stir fried veggies, seafood of all kinds, and some chicken and meatballs with gravy. The serving size was one gigantic plate full... I ate until I could eat no more and got a take out box... that was full. In all reality, this would be three decent sized meals. I really enjoyed this meal.... the rice was good texture as well as all the seafood (sometimes seafood, especially squid can be really rubbery) and the gravy just made everything perfect.
The Drink: 5 stars. So yeah.... um they have Vietnamese coffee.... the thing that has me going to every Vietnamese place I can find. I liked it better here than from Pho Thanh. But it still wasn't as good as from Mi Maxim. They did explain to me tho that the bottle of ht water they brought out of water was to pour into the little glass of coffee if it was too strong. I filled the glass up some more with the hot water (mainly just because hot coffee and more of it) and when it was about halfway gone I filled it back up . The coffee is strong and a little sweet.
The Price: 5 stars. #46 was only $5.75 (one of the more expensive meals on the list... most of the Pho is under $5, and the sandwiches are only $3. All deserts are $2. My coffee was $2 (cheapest out of the three places I've been) So it is very very affordable. Especially if you take in account the serving sizes.... You can get a rice dish (most are $5) 2 coffees, 2 orders of spring rolls, and feed two for under $15. That's hard to do at McDonalds!
Overall I will likely be back to this place since it is so cheap and very conveniently located like a quarter mile off of the light rail.
