I have been having bad neck and shoulder problems and have always driven by the Joint and looked them up on yelp and was impressed with their reviews. I havent gotten an alignment in ages so I went in for my first visit two days ago.
I must say that I am very impressed with their business model. Its walk-in and affordable and allows patients to purchase a monthly membership with up to 4 visits a month. I think this business model is great and flexible for its patients. I also must say that I was impressed by the friendliness of the front desk, at first. However, they were trying very hard to push a monthly membership fee on me. I did not like the pressure of it at all and it made me question the chiropractor's recommendation of two visits a week was legitimate.
After filling out the paperwork, I was greeted by the chiropractor and taken to the back. I had a male chiropractor (his name escapes me) and he was very knowledgeable and explained the process. After doing a brief look-over regarding my range of motion, etc., I got on the table. The adjustment was fine, but I felt that some of the procedures were a little more invasive than other chiropractic offices where I have received treatment. I did feel better after leaving and just as I was warned, I did feel a little pain in my neck from the adjustment. I iced that night and felt fine the next day.
The reason for my poor review is that I had a Doctor's visit the next day and my Doctor (whom sees me on a weekly basis) stated that she could not believe how out of line my back was! She said that she had never seen my back out of alighnment before and was surprised that I was not feeling any pain.
I am still not feeling any pain whatsoever from my back being out of line, but I decided to go to another chiropractor to correctly put my spine in line. The other chiropractor was must less affordable ($65 a visit), but I am happy to say that I am back in-line!! I know that other reviewers are happy with the Joint and at the end of the day I wasn't severly damaged. I only lost $19 from my visit, but ended up finding a great chiropractor out of it! Yay John and Allie at Anchor Chiropractic!!
