| - I had no expectations for this place, especially because no matter how many times I DON'T want to end up here [at the nightclub], it happens anyway. That being said, this review is for the restaurant, which I can say I'd rather go to more than the nightclub.
The best thing I ate here was the kobe beef sashimi, which was one of our appetizers. My friend claimed it was good. I don't think I will ever doubt his taste in food after tasting the sashimi. It is super flavorful and it felt like a party in my mouth (please, no dirty comments, haha). The lobster and shrimp dumplings were tasty too. The lobster wontons could use improvement, so I wouldn't recommend it.
As for my main course, I had the tuna with peppercorn sauce (I don't think that's on their website menu), which I thought was pretty good until I had a taste of my friend's miso glazed sea bass. Soooooo delectable. It melted in my mouth. I really enjoyed my meal and the wait staff were really nice.
Tao is a bit overpriced, but I'm still willing to come back, especially for the kobe beef sashimi (if I didn't mention it enough times). Plus, it's actually really nice inside. The ambiance and decor are great.
