| - I was so happy whenever Target opened the NH store so we didn't have to drive all of the way to Greensburg to get our prescriptions filled. Yes, we had plenty of pharmacies near us without driving 13 miles east but they just did not have the service that Greensburg did. I believe back then their pharmacist was Leeann, who was wonderful. I actually took the time to send them an email about Leeann back in 2003 whenever I was pregnant with my son. She bent over backwards to help this semi hysterical pregnant woman in extreme pain with an infected tooth & chipmunk cheek. She was a lifesaver that day-I will always remember her as she patiently helped me & made some calls for me while I was there waiting. Because of this experience, we went back to that location until they opened the NH/Irwin Target store. We quickly learned that this store had pharmacists that were equally wonderful but without having to drive so far. Carly has been waiting on us since the store opened. Bill & Erin also, not long after that. These are wonderful, knowledgeable, personable people who bend over backwards. Exceptional customer service even when they're busy, which is more these days, probably due to the same reasons I don't usually go anywhere else locally. My family has regular, monthly prescriptions that require a few trips monthly to pick these up as naturally they are never ready at the same time. Sometimes the lazy part of me wishes they had a drive-thru as sometimes I have to change out of my jammies (I said 'sometimes' because there were a few times much to my daughter's chagrin that I actually didn't change since I wasn't feeling well & when I don't feel well, it's all about comfort and not aesthetics) to physically go into the store...but I tend to walk away smiling when any of these 3 (Carly, Bill or Erin) wait on me.
In general there aren't long lines as it's monitored. There are helpful employees who walk through the store & ask if I need help looking for anything-and it's done in a nonchalant, "I'm not going to follow you kind of way," unlike those small stores in the mall who will walk along side you whilst making comments over everything that you're perusing...I find that slightly claustrophobic but that's me. I don't like feeling pressure to look at something when I'm not interested yet too nice to say that while politely looking on, waiting for that pause so I can make my exit immediately-even if I wanted to make a purchase. So it's the complete opposite of those small stores.
Oh, and while waiting for your scripts, walk around & check out the clearance items they have on end caps through-out the perimeters of the store. Wait-maybe that is not a good thing? For thrifty yet impulsively compulsive shoppers like me who can't pass up 80% off, how many times do we end up with something that we will never use but due to 39.99 going down to 6.38 we can't pass it up and will end up in a closet, hidden. But I digress...darn ADHD.
So if you are NOT compulsive when it comes to huge clearance, feel free to check out the clearances on the end caps.
