What a joke! As a casual fan... I purchased tickets to see game on July 25th. Showed up for the game to an empty parking lot.... confused... went up to the ticket windows to see a sign taped up stating that the game has been cancelled. WHAT??? There was no explanation and no announcement that I had been aware of. So we lined up a baby-sitter and made plans for nothing. What kind of league/team cancels an indoor game anyways?
Baffled with this unheard of event... I took to my phone to find out that Vince Neil is no longer the owner and that the League itself has taken over ownership of the Outlaws and their would be opponent, New Orleans. So i have to assume that Vince Neil just bailed on the whole thing? nice commitment.... can't even finish the last few games of the season? kind of a slap in the face to the whole city if you ask me. Especially at a time when Las Vegas is trying to show that it can support a real professional franchise such as NHL or NBA. So just shut the team down if this is how things are run... and if there are 2 teams in the same situation... then I question the league as a whole....
It's too bad b/c I used to really enjoy going to arena football games several years back. I always hoped it would catch on... but it won't if this is how things are run.
Pretty annoying to have made plans to have it end like this... and we weren't alone as we saw several other cars circling the parking lot looking confused.
