I'm from Alaska, where drive thru coffee stands are on every corner, employed by young energetic women that serve coffee just the way you like it. In fact I worked at one during summer breaks from college. Anyways, I've always wondered why that didn't catch on in Vegas...
So I was SO excited to see Dutch Bros opening, especially right across from my neighborhood. I've heard a lot of people say that Dutch Bros is too sweet for them. Probably because they order those suggested drinks that are full of sugar and syrups. I usually order a medium Americano with Almond milk. Let's just talk about how a $2 Americano is unheard of, and ordering one with Soy or Almond milk at Starbucks is going to cost you extra even if it's just a splash of it. It's hands down the best coffee in town, especially on the go.
I will say the size of this location isn't the greatest, and the lines of cars is ever present. I usually will park and go to the side window. I admit I sometimes get anxiety having to have forced small talk with girls that I don't think genuinely care about where I work or what I'm doing today, but I get that most people probably enjoy it. They usually can tell I'm not much of a talker and will keep it to a minimum. I can appreciate that it's better to be always bubbly than act like you don't care about the customer.
I don't go here every day by any means. I usually take one look at the line and head to the gas station, but on days when I have some extra time (weekends) I look forward to it.
