The first time the item was shipped it was bent because they decided to ship the item wrapped only in brown paper. Not only was the item bent but the hardware was missing because the paper ripped during the shipping process. We spoke with sears and they agreed to send another one since the first one was damaged. We told them the problem was the manner in which it was shipped and explained that it would be better to send it in a box and they agreed.
We received the replacement product but they must have not cared about our suggestion because it was shipped in the exact same way which means the product was at risk of damage. Luckily this wasn't the case but the hardware was missing again because the brown paper had ripped. We called them and mentioned we didn't receive our hardware. They said they would once again ship us the hardware but we need to return the damaged item from the first delivery via return shipment. We've had shipping issues with other companies in the past but usually they just say don't worry about returning the damaged item, not Sears. I was told the return would be after 1pm but UPS must've had a different schedule because at about 11am I hear them knocking. I'm just getting ready so now I'm rushing to answer the door while trying to appear decent. I'm still waiting on the hardware and hopefully there won't be anymore issues receiving it.
This whole process has been time consuming and stressful. I don't think it was worth the purchase and I may need to think twice when purchasing from Sears again.
