| - Off the beaten path, across from two strip clubs, Jerry's proudly sits in one of the sketchiest neighborhoods in Las Vegas.
Though it's nothing an out of town visitor needs to check out, a local might find it comforting with it's homey mom and pop feel.
I've enjoyed playing Texas Ultimate Hold 'Em and bingo there on a few occasions, visited their gift shop/players club counter and marveled at the displays of olive oil, prominently featured both in gift shop and the the cafe.
It's nothing glamorous, but employees are friendly, it's not packed, and in spite of what some other reviewers said- the smoke smell isn't nearly as bad as you'd think. Sadly, the pungent odor of deep fryers from the snack counter is what assaults your senses as you walk in a door. I'll take smoke any day over smell of stale grease, and I'm not even a smoker.
Cocktail service is very prompt and very friendly, in Bingo parlor, slot pit, and at the tables.
Exterior is quite nice as well. Well lit and even in this part of town, I don't feel unsafe.
My favorite part has to be two old neon signs on display in bingo parlor and enlarged prints of signs from the Neon Boneyard Museum on walls throughout the property.
All in all, I think Jerry's has it going on just fine for the local crowd, and I wish them more prosperous years.
