Prefer St Rose ST MARTIN Campus (warm spring and buffalo close to 215 W) than St Rose Sienna Campus
Took my mom again to ER for nose hemorrhage (3rd time within a month). We came here because they have a ENT doctor on call at Siena campus NOT St Martin unfortunately.
Checkin / triage nurses are overwhelmed because of the heavy traffic at ER...
took my mom their at 8am, nurses were all busy so we waited till almost 2pm for her to get a CT scan of her head because no nurse were available to put an IV on her arm and no pain medicine was given because no nurse allowed to give meds was available !!!!
The ER doctor took a good care of my mom but had hard time finding supplies to treat my mom! I even offered to drive to St Martin get a nasal balloon!
while the bleed was on going, they put her in a triage room so the Doc can performed some act to stop the bleeding.
ER was over crowded so they asked us to wait again in waiting room till CT results comes and her room at the hospital is ready :(
4pm / 5pm / 6pm no update on results.
We sat in the waiting area till 6:45pm after I went to the nurse in charge!
Charlotte was her name. I went and check with her 4 times every hour since CT scan!!!
We waited almost 9h before Anthony a nurse who saw us in morning asked me why we were still waiting!!!!
we went from ER straight to CDU. He kept apologizing for the mess! (Thank you Anthony!!)
The organisation of Siena ER from checkin / triage / lab should be reviewed ... NO PRIVACY
is it even HIPAA compliance for the staff to scream your name (often misspelled) in the whole waiting area? when they call a Michael or a Jose it's like 2/3 Michael or Jose gets up!
I really feel like the staff is wasting some precious time to find the patient make sure they have the " right michael " than if they would do like at St Martin take care of 1 patient from checkin to checkout or admission... I understand the triage thing since that ER is so busy after 5h watching them...
They could use some sticky with numbers for more privacy.
Last thing... they put a portable heart monitor on my mom. The monitor did not record anything it was no battery in it!!!
the night nurse Erika checked and was like " what the heck "... don't know what to say or think!
